Adloyada

adloyada, until one no longer knows

Unraveling the web of experiences

Untwisting the path that the angels created

Unwinding the rope of no return

adloyada, until one no longer knows

Diving into the soul pit

Full of rainbows and bruises

umbilical chords and gray hairs

adloyada, until one no longer knows

Take off those bandaids of broken hearts and lost opportunities

Let doubt let go of you and worry unleash your mind from her fingers

Slap fear in the face, welcome her majesty faith

adloyada, until one no longer knows

The dream went like this: In my childhood home I found a box of letters. Letters written to me while you were sick but hidden from me so that I wouldn't know.

Preserving the sweetness of a child in innocent bliss

Now I that I know, I learn to forget

adloyada, until one no longer knows

As we grow we learn, but on Purim we learn to forget

and just for a moment, we get to be kids, playing in the sandbox of unicorns and fairies

because forgetting means returning
